An AI writing profile is a structured, reusable description of how a specific person actually writes, measured from samples of their own text and supplied to a language model so its output carries that person's patterns instead of the model's defaults.
It is measured from your writing, not described in adjectives, and it persists across tools and sessions.
The word profile is doing real work in that sentence. A prompt is an instruction you give once; a profile is an artifact you keep. It is built by measuring a corpus of your own writing, and it is loaded into an assistant the same way every time, so the same input produces a comparable result on Monday and on Friday.
Three properties separate a profile from a prompt that happens to be long. It is derived from evidence rather than self-report. It is portable, meaning the same artifact can be pasted into more than one assistant. And it is persistent, meaning it survives the end of a chat session.
